Yes, I’d love to hear about the other house groups. Should I also include the Wednesday group? We don’t have a name so I’ll just call us the Wednesday afternoon Bible study.
We’ve been studying Philippians as a follow on from Alpha. Our profile is quite interesting. Of the 8 of us who meet, 2 are non Church people & 2 are not from our fellowship so it makes for a good time of cross discussion. Everyone is welcome so if you’re around on the last Wednesday of any month we’d love to see you at Hope Cottage.
The Wednesday group enjoyed Philippians again this month. We’ve just finished chapter 2 & begun 3. We spent a while discussing friendship & then trying to explain why Jesus lived & died!! Not easy in a short time.
The Tuesday night housegroup started with Jon and Graham sharing what happened at HG3 on Monday. I think we all felt we wished we had been there too. We also looked at Ephesians 4: 17-32 thinking about self-esteem and thinking about what old habits still tempt us and why old habits are so hard to break?
