Having Lesley with us all (at last!) was great. It was so exciting seeing her reaction to everything & knowing that she wants to go back! 2. Prayer ministry is such an amazing blessing. I know it was hard work & more tiring than I realised, but just feeling that God can speak throough you to help another person is mind blowing. 3. Venue 3 was a blessing again although I think those who go next year may need an even bigger one! I can't pretend that I enjoyed the weather & the mud was disgusting, but having visited Soul Survivor yesterday let me tell you, we didn't have it as bad as the young folk have. I still don't know if I want to go next year. There are things I would really miss, but I can also remember how difficult I found some aspects of this year so I shall pray & wait! I was blessed in many ways by being at New Wine this year:

Started for me on first night with prayer tunnels. I was quiet scared getting up from my seat but once I entered the prayer tunnel I felt an overwhelming sense of love and peace - it was very powerful and I buzzed for hours. One night someone called Kenny spoke and said that "God is so very fond of us" this has really stuck with me all week. The great thing about New Wine is the fellowship you experience - its brilliant!! At the start of the week I prayed that Jon, Jack, Sam and I would grow together and become really close. By the last night I felt we were really, really close. Laughter and joy has entered in.....praise God. I have always felt love for young people but felt this increasing ten fold over the week and had a picture of a mother hen and her chicks under her wings. I feel I am being led to take seriously my Sunday School duties and know I need to study (boo-hoo this is going to be painful). Another great night was at Venue 2. This young man (also called Ian) is in a London hospital with an abnormal heart rhythm that needs treatment. He has accepted the Lord into his life as a teenager i believe but has not really begun any meaningful relationship with Jesus. So could we all please remember this Ian in our prayers. Can we pray for healing for his heart and for his heart to be openned to the Fathers love through a closer relationship with Jesus. HIS PROGRESS SINCE THE BEGINNING OF JULY HAS BEEN GOOD, HE BEGAN MOVING ONE OF HIS SHOULDERS AFTER WE BEGAN PRAYING FOR HIM AND HAS CONTINUED TO IMPROVE TO THE POINT THAT HE IS NOW ONLY ON THE VENTILATOR FOR SHORT PERIODS, HE IS CONSCIOUS AND COMMUNICATING (MOSTLY RUDE JOKES!) AND HAS SOME LIMITED MOVEMENTS IN BOTH ARMS. HE IS GOING OFF TO A REHABILITATION UNIT ASAP. We stopped at the end of chapter 7 (Stephen's stoning) and will resume next week. HG3 will be hit and miss over the hols as a lot of us will be away at differing times so always best to ring around. Larkin's number best. Next Mon Trev P-H is bringing a DVD on Acts (with dialogue straight out the NIV!) for us to watch. Should be good as we have only just finished looking at acts and as remember bits and pieces of it we'll be encouraged by what we know.
